Report to authorities first, then tell us (Section 8) so we can act on our platform immediately.
1. Our Promise
Nappilos began as a baby-products brand — safety is our founding DNA. Every product we make and every pixel we publish passes one test: is this good for a child? This policy explains, in plain language, how child safety is enforced across Nappilos Educations — in letter and in spirit — under Indian law.
2. Scope
Applies to this website, all content we publish, our waitlist communications, and every future feature of the Nappilos Educations platform (videos, games, communities, AI features) — for all users under 18 and for the adults who act for them.
3. Zero Tolerance: Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) & Exploitation
- Absolute prohibition of any content that sexually exploits, endangers or depicts children in a harmful manner — per the POCSO Act 2012, the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2015, and the IT Act 2000.
- Any such content discovered is removed immediately, preserved as required, and reported to law enforcement / NCPCR. We do not wait for court orders to protect a child.
- We never host user-generated media from children at launch, and any future social features will be heavily moderated and parent-visible.
4. Content Standards & Review
| Every Lesson / Asset Must Be… | How We Enforce |
|---|---|
| Age-appropriate for its stated band (3–5, 6–8, 9–11, 12–14, 15–16) | Educator review before publishing; age-band labelling |
| Free from violence, fear tactics, sexualised imagery, profanity | Content checklist + two-person sign-off |
| Free from cultural, religious, gender or ability bias | Sensitivity review; diverse representation |
| Curriculum-aligned & factually accurate | Mapped to NEP 2020 stages & CBSE/ICSE/State syllabi |
| Kind in tone — encouragement over ranking | No public leaderboards shaming children; no fear-based marketing |
5. Interaction & Moderation Design (Safety by Design)
- At launch: no open chat, no user-to-user messaging, no public comments by children. The platform is a safe, one-way learning experience.
- If ever added: any social feature will be default-off, parent-approval-gated, keyword/behaviour monitored, with easy one-tap reporting and blocking.
- No dark patterns: no streak-guilt mechanics, no nagging purchase prompts, no ads to children — consistent with DPDP 2023 and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code we benchmark against.
- Screen-time respect: session reminders and eye-care breaks are built in, not hidden.
6. Anti-Bullying & Dignity
Bullying, harassment, shaming or humiliation of any child — by users, staff or partners — is prohibited. Any reported instance is investigated swiftly, with protective action first (separation, blocking) and corrective action after.
7. Our Team & Partners
- Staff, contractors and voice/dance artists involved in children's content undergo identity verification and background screening to the extent permitted by law.
- All team members receive child-safety and POCSO-awareness onboarding, with annual refreshers.
- Partners (schools, creators, distributors) must sign and follow this policy as a condition of working with us.
8. How to Report a Concern to Us
Email education@nappilos.com with subject "CHILD SAFETY" — include links/screenshots if possible.
Our Child Safety Officer: [N Reddy] — acknowledges within 24 hours, acts within 72 hours, and keeps your identity confidential.
For anything involving a child's immediate physical or emotional danger, contact the authorities in Section 1 first.
Good-faith reporters are never penalised. We support victims and their families with dignity and privacy throughout.
9. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We cooperate fully and promptly with Indian law enforcement, the NCPCR, and courts within legal process — including preservation and disclosure of records where lawfully required, balancing child protection with due process.
10. Design Commitments (Beyond Compliance)
- Best interests of the child — the primary consideration in every product decision (echoing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child).
- Privacy by default: highest-privacy settings for children; no profiling for ads (DPDP 2023).
- Parent partnership: dashboards and consent flows that inform, not surveil.
- Wellbeing metrics: we track whether children feel happy and safe, not just whether they click.
11. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed at least every 6 months, after any new feature launch, and whenever Indian law updates (including full commencement of the DPDP Rules). The latest version always lives on this page.
